Former ‘Lion’s Den’ To Be Sold
The former residence of the fabled ‘lion of Bromyard’ is to be sold by auction at the Three Counties Show Ground in Malvern by auctioneers John Goodwin.
This shepherd’s hut is reputed to have once housed a lion at a large country house near Bromyard.
The shepherd’s hut is in largely original condition with its cast iron wheels, original undercarriage and wooden frame and, according to auctioneer Chris Maulkin, “ provides a rare opportunity for refurbishment and a great summer project with a unique history”.
Amongst other entries in the June 6th sale (viewing June 5th 2-7pm) are a number of vintage tractors, agricultural machinery including a stationary engine, vehicles, ride on mowers along with the usual wide range of furniture, effects and collectables.
